Build an after-hours call handler that books visits

They set up agents to take late calls, gather details, book appointments, and spot upset callers for follow-up.

What they did
They made a Synthflow receptionist for a home services company using the visual builder, and finished it in about 45 minutes. It handled calls after hours, asked for the caller’s name, address, and service type, and scheduled appointments for the next day. For a clinic with 12 providers, they also used a Retell agent tied to an FAQ document and post-call review to answer common questions and mark frustrated callers.
How it went
In 30 test calls, the Synthflow setup handled simple intake well, but it got stuck and restarted when a caller tried to reschedule and change the service. The Retell agent found 3 frustrated callers in 80 tests and did not invent answers to the FAQ.
Tips
These setups work best when the conversation stays close to the script. If callers may change their mind mid-call, test those branches carefully before relying on the agent.

Set up an after-hours call workflow for [business type]. When someone calls outside [hours], collect [name], [contact info], and [service need], then offer next-day slots from [calendar or booking system]. Also answer these FAQs from [approved FAQ list]. If the caller sounds frustrated, flag the call for [staff role] to review. Before making a booking, sending a message, or changing any record, stop and show me the exact action for approval. After setup, help me test it with a sample call and report what worked and what broke.
