Create a hosted app with uploads, analytics, and a homepage

A developer had Replit Agent assemble a reporting app with a database, image storage, analytics, and a public landing page.

What they did
The author worked from a $25/month Replit plan and asked Replit Agent to turn an updated brief into a road-safety reporting product. The agent first mapped out the work, then built the app, a Neon Postgres database, UploadThing for storing images, and Google Analytics using a tag the author provided. When errors appeared, the author pasted them in for correction, and they also supplied the landing-page copy, layout notes, and hero image. Authentication was later shifted to Firebase.
How it went
The site went live on the second deployment try and now runs on a custom domain. Combined spending for the agent and assistant came to $35.82. A move to S3 did not work because of access-control problems, and the Firebase change caused a few breakages.
Tips
Use the assistant for small tweaks; checkpoints cost $0.05 there instead of $0.25 with the agent. The setup used one database for both development and production, so treat that carefully.

Try it yourself with Replit Agent

Build a web app for [what the app is for] with a [database type] database, [storage provider] for uploads, basic usage tracking, and a simple homepage that explains the product. Start by proposing a build plan, then work in stages and make a checkpoint after each major step so I can revert if needed. If you want to change a core dependency such as storage, authentication, or hosting, stop and ask for approval before you make the switch. Also pause before any action that would send data, remove data, publish the app, or move money. The finished app should let users [main user action], keep the uploaded file available after refresh, and be ready for me to review before public release.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
