Create a recurring work-inbox dashboard

A Rippling engineer uses Cursor to collect scattered work items every two hours and turn them into one dashboard.

What they did
Abhishek Singh at Rippling keeps a running Slack thread for meeting takeaways, follow-ups, open tasks, and Loom references. A Cursor Automations cron agent runs on a two-hour schedule in a cloud sandbox, scans that thread plus his GitHub pull requests, Jira issues, and Slack mentions, then removes repeats across all of them. After that, it publishes a dashboard with the combined list.
How it went
No usage figures were reported for the assistant. Singh later built more automations, including a flow that turns Slack messages into Jira tickets and another that produces Confluence summaries. The most helpful ones were then shared with the team.
Tips
Start with a narrow set of sources so the agent does not pull in too much noise. Make it wait for approval before it posts or changes anything in connected tools.

Try it yourself with Cursor

Build a scheduled agent that wakes up every [2 hours] and checks my [Slack thread for notes and follow-ups], [GitHub pull requests], [Jira or Linear issues], and [Slack mentions]. Fold duplicates together, sort the remaining items into a single dashboard at [location], and group them by [priority / project / owner]. Stop and ask me to approve anything that would post, edit, delete, send, or submit before you do it. After one test run, show me the dashboard and explain what was merged.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
