Build a grocery basket from a regulars sheet

A developer used Claude in Chrome to add recurring groceries from a Google Sheet into an ASDA basket, then cleaned up the leftovers manually.

What they did
Christina Souch set up a Google Sheet with more than 40 usual items, plus quantities, frequency labels, and pricing rules. She then asked Claude in Chrome to use that sheet while shopping on ASDA’s site. After an early run grabbed everything from ASDA’s Regulars page, she told it to treat the sheet as the only source. She ran it several more times and watched each pass.
How it went
The best attempt put about 24 of 42 items into the basket and came to £71.76. It marked the rest as unavailable, added carrots that were not on the list, and left her to tidy the basket and finish checkout herself. It was slower than doing the shop by hand.
Tips
Keep a close eye on each pass, and be ready to correct wrong additions. Avoid letting the agent use built-in store shortcuts if you want it to follow your list exactly; one broad add action pushed a normal £60 shop over £200, and closing the window erased progress.

Try it yourself with Claude in Chrome

Open my spreadsheet at [sheet link] and use it as the only source for building a grocery basket on [store site]. For each row, add the item and quantity listed there. If something cannot be found, put it in a separate review list instead of choosing a substitute. After each batch, stop and ask me to confirm before making any irreversible step such as checkout, payment, deletion, or submission. Do not place the order unless I explicitly approve it.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
