Automate next-day school packing reminders

Claude Code helped a parent turn school and activity emails into calendar entries and WhatsApp packing alerts.

What they did
The builder set up Claude Code to monitor messages from the child’s school and from activities such as swimming, music classes, and scouts. It then pulled the schedule into a shared calendar and generated a WhatsApp nudge for the following day with the items to put in the school bag. The same setup also surfaced the lunch menu.
How it went
They said it removed “so much headache and head space” from the household routine and reduced rushed mornings. No figures, pricing, or breakdown of mistakes were shared.
Tips
A setup like this works best when the incoming emails are fairly consistent and use predictable wording. Make the agent wait for a confirmation step before it sends any real WhatsApp message.

Try it yourself with Claude Code

Build a small automation for me that checks emails from [school name] and [activity providers], pulls out dates, events, and packing details, and adds them to a shared calendar for [child's name]. Every evening at [time], prepare a WhatsApp message for the next day listing the items and any lunch or equipment notes that should go into the school bag. Before anything is sent or added that could affect others, stop and ask me to approve the draft. Start with a test using [one example email / weekly schedule], and only continue after I confirm the message and calendar entries look right.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
