Analyze a piano clip for tempo and structure

Claude Code installed audio tools, then analyzed a short MP3 and wrote a report on tempo, form, and stems.

What they did
The person first had Gemini draft a skill in Loooom, then published it through the web interface and installed it in Claude Code. After that, they gave Claude a local MP3 of a 37-second piano clip and asked it to map out the song. Claude added ffmpeg and librosa during the session and ran a Python-based audio workflow.
How it went
The output included a BPM estimate, meter, key, a four-part timeline, and a stem list. The tempo landed around 91 BPM, while the expected pace was about 104 BPM. The stem guesses also looked mismatched, listing things like vocals and drums for a solo piano recording.
Tips
For this kind of task, expect approximate results rather than exact music analysis. Check the tempo and stem labels against the actual recording before relying on the report.

Try it yourself with Claude Code

I have an audio file at [path to audio file]. Please set up any tools you need, then analyze it and create a report with: estimated BPM, meter, key, a section-by-section timeline with approximate timestamps, and any stem-style separation you can provide. Save the finished report as [report filename] in the same folder. Before you do anything irreversible, such as deleting files or overwriting existing output, ask for my approval. When you finish, tell me where the report was saved and note any parts of the analysis that may be uncertain.
