Watch RAM and ask before closing apps

A bot tracked memory use on a PC, texted a breakdown when it spiked, and waited for approval before ending anything.

What they did
A user set Grok Bot to watch a PC’s memory and send a text if usage got too high. When RAM climbed to nearly 28GB, the bot reported 22 Python processes and iCloud using 10GB, then listed the biggest memory users and asked before taking action. It also kept one prior instruction in mind: leave ChatGPT open.
How it went
The user got the alert while at lunch on a construction site and answered by text with what to shut down. That let them handle the problem remotely and avoid the computer running out of memory.
Tips
Give the agent clear rules about what it should never close. Also, make sure it pauses for your approval before stopping anything that could affect work or unsaved files.

Try it yourself with Grok Bot

Monitor the memory on my [PC] and send me a text if RAM goes above [85]%. Show a short list of the apps or processes using the most memory, and tell me what you think is safe to close. Before you end, quit, or delete anything, stop and ask for my approval. If I’ve told you to keep any app open, remember that instruction and do not close it unless I say so.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
