Have Claude sort mail and draft meeting prep

A writer used Claude to clean up email, surface key messages, and generate recurring briefings for upcoming meetings.

What they did
A Fortune writer spent about a month using Dispatch with Claude. The setup linked the mobile Claude app to Claude Desktop, while Cowork handled the work on a computer left running for the task. From their phone, they asked for email summaries, a shortlist of the important messages, and a brief for the next meeting on their calendar; they also created a repeating morning briefing, and Dispatch could carry on with follow-up questions.
How it went
The inbox felt much less crowded, and the right emails were easier to spot. It also handled meeting prep from a lunch line. The workflow broke with Shortcuts and when they tried to move screenshots outside the Claude app, and sometimes it moved more slowly than doing the work themselves.
Tips
Use it in read-only mode first, and make sure anything that sends, deletes, or changes calendar items waits for approval. It requires a $200/month Max plan plus a laptop that remains awake, unlocked, and open with the app running.

Try it yourself with Claude Cowork

Set up [Claude Cowork/Dispatch] to help with my inbox and calendar. Review the email I received during the last [time period] and give me a short digest of the messages that matter, plus anything that needs a reply, a decision, or follow-up. Then look at my calendar for [today/tomorrow] and write a prep note for each meeting with the attendees and any useful context from related emails. Make this a daily morning briefing at [time]. Do not send, delete, reply, or edit anything yet; stop and ask for my OK before any action that would change an email or calendar item.
