Track fares and search return flights

An agent watched a Vegas fare each day and looked for ways back to San Diego, but it missed key preferences and returned a narrow set of choices.

Done with Meta Muse· Intermediate· Sep 2026

What they did
They had Muse open the booking site for the JSX outbound trip, read the fare, and set a daily price check that would alert them if it changed. For the way home, they gave it a travel window, then later added that they had Amex points and asked about British Airways award seats. Muse signed in with their credentials, but it ran into a Captcha until they pointed out it could be solved.
How it went
The outbound monitoring worked as intended. The return search was less useful: it surfaced only three options, including Frontier, which they do not want, and later a flight with a layover. It also incorrectly told them Amex points would not help, and the British Airways search ran into site problems.
Tips
State airline dislikes, stop limits, and loyalty programs at the start, since the agent does not remember preferences between steps. If a task might involve a booking or payment, make the agent pause and ask before it goes ahead.

Watch fares for a trip from [origin airport/city] to [destination] on [date or date range]. Check once a day and tell me if the price changes. Also look for return flights to [home airport] within [date window], and follow these preferences: [airlines to prefer or avoid], [max stops], [time-of-day limits], [budget], [points or miles programs]. Show me at least [number] options with prices and booking links, and pause to ask for approval before you book, pay, or submit anything. If you hit a login or Captcha step, stop and ask me what to do next.
