Have an agent start a flight search in a browser

Claude opened a website, dealt with a blocking popup, and filled in a New Delhi to Mumbai trip search before stopping.

What they did
A developer set up Anthropic’s computer use demo inside Docker with an API key and asked Claude to look for a flight from New Delhi to Mumbai for 1 December 2024. Claude launched Firefox, went to makemytrip.com, and hit a sign-in window that prevented further progress. After the developer told it to close that popup, Claude typed in the city pair and worked through the date selector.
How it went
Claude made it to the search stage, but it never completed the booking. It handled the form after the popup was cleared and a retry was issued, but the developer described the missed finish as a beta limitation.
Tips
For browser tasks, expect occasional UI roadblocks and be ready to give a follow-up instruction. Keep the environment sandboxed and require a person to approve any financial step.

Try it yourself with Claude computer use

Use a browser to look for flights between [origin city] and [destination city] on [date]. Compare the [number] cheapest choices and the [number] fastest choices, and present a short list with airline, departure and arrival times, and price. Stop before entering traveler details, payment information, or any final submission. If you reach any action that would book, pay, send, delete, or submit something, pause and ask for my approval first. If a popup, login box, or other screen blocks you, report it and wait for my next instruction before continuing.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
