Score LinkedIn listings against your profile

They built a Claude Chrome Shortcut that reads a LinkedIn posting and returns a fit score from a saved profile.

What they did
Jose Antonio Morales created a Claude Skill using a JSON career profile and a weighted scoring prompt. Since the Chrome extension cannot access Skills, he copied that logic into a browser Shortcut and pointed it at a profile kept in a GitHub Gist. From an open LinkedIn listing, he enters “/”, selects the Shortcut, and Claude reviews the page to generate the report.
How it went
On the example role, the output landed at 22% and suggested skipping it. The report also surfaced a location conflict: the job asked for work in Turin or Milan, but his profile calls for remote work from Slovenia.
Tips
If you change your criteria, remember to revise both the Skill and the Shortcut, because they are separate pieces. Storing the profile in a Gist makes updates simpler.

Try it yourself with Claude in Chrome

With the job post visible in my active tab, compare it to this profile: [skills], [experience], [pay expectations], [location preferences], and [dealbreakers]. Return a 0-10 fit score, the three best reasons to consider it, the three biggest issues, and a clear apply/skip call. Do not press Apply, submit forms, or send anything; stop after the report and wait for my approval before any action that can’t be undone.
