Run a tiny Robinhood portfolio from disclosed trades

Ryan Doser used Claude Code with Robinhood’s trading beta to follow politician and executive filings, keep a position log, and send orders from a $100 account.

What they did
He plugged Robinhood’s trading MCP endpoint into Claude Code, finished the OAuth flow on his desktop, and approved it again in the Robinhood app on his phone. In about 15 to 30 minutes, he created a skill that scans for trades from politicians and executives. Claude then asked about his preferences and began writing a markdown trade log on its own.
How it went
After overnight settlement, the agent entered four stocks at the next market open, including two insurance companies and Norwegian Cruise Line. The portfolio was ahead by roughly 33 cents at the open, but there is no proof yet that it can produce returns over time.
Tips
For this setup, keep Claude Code open on the computer that is meant to execute orders; the scheduled task will not run otherwise. Since the feature is still in beta, use only a small amount of money.

Try it yourself with Claude Code

Create a small [broker] account experiment with [$ amount] that follows public trading disclosures from [politicians/executives]. Start by only observing and recording positions, plus current profit or loss. Each day, tell me what you would buy or sell and why. Before any irreversible action, pause and ask me to confirm the exact trade details, then wait until I say yes.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
