Pull YouTube data and draft lead emails
They used Claude Code to turn API data and local files into analytics reports, a job tracker, and a lead list with outreach drafts.
- What they did
- They started each task with a plain-language slash goal, then let Claude Code keep working until the job was finished. For analytics, it read a markdown channel brief, called the YouTube API with a script, and assembled a multi-sheet Excel workbook, then checked the formatting from screenshots. It also made a local HTML app for tracking jobs and a spreadsheet of 50 leads with written outreach emails.
- How it went
- In the demo, the quarterly report was finished in about 10 minutes, and the lead enrichment plus outreach work took about 20. Claude Code also called out missing impressions and CTR data in the report. The source does not give accuracy numbers for the lead list or the emails.
- Tips
- Give it local notes about your business, case studies, and target customer so outreach fits your context. If the task could send anything, pause and review before any message goes out.
Try it yourself with Claude Code
You are helping me with a local workflow. Using [channel/account name], [API name], and these files: [file paths], pull [metrics] for [date range] and build a multi-tab Excel report with a short summary, charts, and a formatting check from screenshots. Also create [optional local app or spreadsheet] for [tracking/lead work] using the same local files. If any data is missing or looks inconsistent, list it clearly and stop to ask for my approval before doing anything that would send, submit, delete, or pay. For leads, prepare [number] outreach drafts for [audience], but do not send them without my explicit confirmation.
