Let Claude capture commitments into Todoist

A commenter let Claude monitor their daily tools, draft tasks from new commitments, and wait for approval before changing Todoist.

What they did
They connected Claude Code to Todoist and several other personal systems, including mail, scheduling, chat, budgeting, contacts, notes, and cloud storage. To help it keep track of context, they also maintained a versioned set of linked text notes covering the people, projects, and relationships it needed to remember. Claude then watched for obligations, proposed tasks and reminder entries, and guessed at the best project or date; the user checked those suggestions in a daily or weekly review and kept correcting the setup when it slipped.
How it went
Roughly a month later, they said it had already uncovered $3,000 and prevented a few mistakes. They called the weekly review the most valuable part, and said the task recommendations were generally accurate, even though the memory and understanding still needed work.
Tips
The system depended on well-structured human-readable notes that Claude could maintain with feedback, not just direct access to apps. Keep a human approval step before any task is added or changed, since this kind of setup improves through correction.

Use my connected tools to act as a GTD helper. Check [email], [calendar], [messages], [files], and my [Todoist] history for recent commitments, requests, and follow-ups, then draft a task list with a likely project and due date for each item. Show me the draft first and wait for my approval before creating, editing, or scheduling anything in Todoist; after I approve, make only the approved changes and summarize what you did.
