Interview the user in Spanish and fill the form

A developer had Claude ask plain-Spanish questions and place each reply into an immigration form while keeping sensitive IDs out of chat.

What they did
The developer added a conversational mode to each form so the user could choose to answer one question at a time in Spanish. Claude used an answer_question tool to suggest responses, and the app ran each one through its usual checks before saving it locally, which updated a live preview card. A stateless Vercel Function handled the chat and did not keep any data, while SSNs, A-Numbers, and USCIS account numbers stayed in a separate field and were never sent. Numbers that looked like IDs were masked if the user typed them in chat.
How it went
In a preview deployment, the conversation successfully filled in the I-765 reason and also asked a follow-up about a middle name. The pull request remains a draft, and 486 tests are passing.
Tips
Show a clear opt-in message before starting, and keep an easy off switch like AGENT_ENABLED=false. Be careful with Vercel api folder imports: relative paths need file extensions or the function will fail.

Try it yourself with Claude

Help me complete my [immigration form type] by asking me one plain-[language] question at a time. After each answer, suggest the field value and wait for my approval before writing it into the form. Never ask for or transmit my SSN, A-number, USCIS account number, or passport number; leave those fields for me to enter manually. If I mention an ID-like number in chat, mask it. When you reach anything sensitive, irreversible, or unclear, pause and ask me to confirm before continuing.
