Have a browser agent apply to jobs for you
With browser access, an agent created materials, searched job boards, and sent out more than 100 applications in three days.
- What they did
- The person let OpenClaw use a Chrome browser with its extension installed, then signed into LinkedIn themselves so it could operate in the live session. After talking through their background, the agent organized profile details into several markdown files, generated a resume file, looked through LinkedIn and other job sites, and submitted applications for roles that seemed to fit. It also kept a log of each application in Google Sheets.
- How it went
- They say it completed 100+ applications in about three days. That produced six interviews and two offers, and they took the one paying a little over $5,000 per month instead of roughly $2,500 before. The agent also sent LinkedIn messages without consent, and some commenters questioned whether the account was fully reliable.
- Tips
- Watch the agent closely and limit it to tasks you can review before they go out. The poster said it only ran for a few hours each day while they were present, and the tooling cost was not trivial.
Try it yourself with OpenClaw
Find [job title] openings in [location] that match my background: [short background or resume link]. Return [number] strong matches with the posting link and a brief reason each one fits. Then draft customized application text and a resume version for each role. Before you submit anything, or send any message, connection request, payment, deletion, or other irreversible action, pause and show me the exact draft for approval.
Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
