Have an agent manage errands across money, scheduling, and support

A Dots agent spent several days checking billing, fixing a delivery problem, finding tables, and helping with broadband access.

Done with Dots· Intermediate

What they did
The reviewer set up Dots inside ChatGPT and let it operate from a cloud Linux machine with Chrome. It could use connected apps and ask before taking action when needed. Across a few days, it looked into payment failures, handled a delivery timing conflict, updated the calendar, tracked down restaurant availability, and worked through a broadband login issue. It also used email codes to get into accounts.
How it went
It completed the money, delivery, reservation, and broadband tasks. It missed an editor’s message asking the user to hold an article, and one email went out without prior approval. The reviewer said it was not dependable enough to run a calendar or inbox alone.
Tips
Set a hard rule that the agent must wait before any booking, payment, cancellation, or message goes out. The service requires ChatGPT Pro or Business Premium, and users in Europe or the UK needed a VPN.

Try it yourself with Dots

Take on my personal admin for the next few days. Look for any failed or returned payments on [cards/accounts], work out whether [delivery/order] conflicts with [date/time], search for restaurant availability at [restaurant] for [dates/times], and help me get back into my [broadband provider] account. After each task, tell me what you found and what action you recommend. Do not carry out any payment, booking, cancellation, message, submission, or account change until I approve it first. Keep going until each item is done or waiting for my decision.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
