Build scored lead profiles and outreach drafts

Use Gemini, Docs, NotebookLM, and Sheets to research a company, score the fit, and draft a short outreach note.

Done with Gemini· Intermediate

What they did
They created a custom Gemini Gem called Sales Lead Researcher, then gave it their offer and a four-part scoring system worth 16 points. For each target company, one command ran Deep Research and another found a decision-maker, assigned a score, and wrote a short LinkedIn message. The output moved into Google Docs, then NotebookLM for side-by-side review, and finally Sheets.
How it went
In testing, Deep Research pulled together 50-100+ cited sources for each company and took about 7-10 minutes per run. The three Airbnb profiles received scores of 14/16, 13/16, and 9/16, which led to three different outreach angles. The setup only worked for companies already chosen, and it depended on having the offer and rubric defined ahead of time.
Tips
This is most useful when you already know who you want to contact and have a clear scoring rubric. Be aware of Gemini Pro cost, plus daily limits on Deep Research.

Try it yourself with Gemini

Act as my sales lead research assistant. Use Deep Research on [company name] to gather a concise lead profile: what the company does, recent developments, likely decision-maker(s), pain points tied to [my product or service], and a fit score using this rubric: [paste rubric]. Then write a short outreach message in [my tone] for [channel]. Put the research summary and score in a table, then the draft message below it. Stop and ask me to approve the draft before any sending, scheduling, publishing, or other action that could reach the prospect.
