Build a personal tracker for topics you care about
They used Claude Code to watch chosen subjects, gather updates from multiple sources, and turn them into a short daily briefing.
- What they did
- They set up Signex in Claude Code as a personal intelligence agent. A CLAUDE.md file defined how the system should behave, while separate sensor skills pulled in data and lens skills sorted and interpreted it. They also gave feedback on what to skip and what deserved a closer look, so later reports adapted to those preferences.
- How it went
- After about a week of using it every day, they said their scan-and-check routine dropped from about an hour to a 2-minute report. The writeup only shows early, anecdotal use and does not include a detailed list of misses or failures.
- Tips
- Start by naming the topics in plain language and defining what counts as worth surfacing. Keep a pause in the workflow so you can approve any sending, publishing, or other irreversible step before the agent acts.
Try it yourself with Claude Code
Help me build a personal intelligence agent in [Claude Code or similar]. First, write a CLAUDE.md that tells the agent to monitor [topics] and treat [signals, priorities, and exclusions] as important. Then create one or more collection skills that pull recent items from [sources], and analysis skills that rank and summarize what matters most. After you draft the setup, stop and ask me to approve it before you run anything that would send, submit, delete, or publish. Once approved, have it produce a brief report in [file or folder] with the [3 to 5] items I’m most likely to miss, plus a note on why each one matters to me.
Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
