Automate replies, form capture, and lead follow-up

They tested two agents for routine inbox and lead tasks, then favored the one that needed less upkeep for repeated office work.

What they did
They began with Gumloop, using its visual builder and GPT-powered actions to set up draft email responses, pull details from submitted forms, and connect small automations for lead handling and note-taking. After that, they moved to Lindy for the same sort of everyday admin, including follow-up messages, inbox sorting, meeting setup, calendar tasks, note capture, short summaries, and CRM updates. Lindy ran more like a delegated helper, with a person able to review or intervene before anything was finalized.
How it went
Their judgment was that Gumloop was faster for assembling simple automations, while Lindy was a better match for ongoing office routines that should not require much babysitting. They also said Gumloop gets difficult to maintain once the logic grows, and that Lindy is tied closely to Google tools, permissions, and a credit system.
Tips
Use a human review step for anything that could be sent out or written back to a system of record. If you expect a workflow to expand later, check how easy it will be to edit and maintain before you rely on it.

Help me build a workflow for [incoming leads / customer emails]. For each item, draft a reply in my voice, pull out the key fields into [spreadsheet / CRM], and write a brief note summarizing the item. Hold anything for my approval before sending a message or changing a record. Run the setup on [3 test items] first, then show me the drafts, extracted fields, and notes for review.

Fill in the [brackets]. Agents can make mistakes, so review anything before it is sent, paid or deleted.
